Knight's Action Park & Caribbean Water Adventure
Light the Way for Community Support

A brighter tomorrow in Springfield, Illinois is lit by thousands of bright yellow ducks! The ducks are back at Knight’s Action Park & Caribbean Water adventure and guests will find out just how fast their duck can swim as the park hosts the Great Springfield Duck Race on Monday, September 3, presented by The Bank of Springfield and to benefit the Spina Bifida Association of Illinois.

At the Great Springfield Duck Race 10,000 rubber ducks will fill the Caribbean Wild River at Caribbean Water Adventure and begin a race to the finish line. Anyone can adopt a duck for the race, and one lucky duck could win $1,000,000.

“The $1,000,000 is just one of several prizes participants could win,” offered Doug Knight, General Manager of Knight’s Action Park. “Jewelry, Chicago Bulls tickets, a golf outing, a Cub Foods shopping spree, a family Season Pass to Caribbean Water Adventure and more are up for grabs as the ducks float their way to the finish line."

Rubber ducks for the Great Springfield Duck Race are up for adoption at local offices of The Bank of Springfield, participating area Hardee’s restaurants, all three Springfield Cub Foods stores, Knight’s Action Park, and the Route 66 Twin Drive In. Ducks can also be adopted online by visiting www.duckrace.com/Springfield.

Each duck adopted in the race represents a donation to the Spina Bifida Association of Illinois. All of the prizes for the race are donated by area businesses. The event is presented by the Bank of Springfield and is co-sponsored by Knight’s Action Park, the Downtown Kiwanis Club, Pepsi, Neuhoff Media Springfield, and Hardee’s. The climactic Great Springfield Duck Race will represent a tremendous showing of community support for the Spina Bifida Association of Illinois (www.sbail.org).
